ICSE Class 10 Physics exam for the year 2023 took place on 17th March. The examinations are conducted by CISCE, the council for the Indian school certificate examination. Analysis of ICSE Class 10 Board 2023 Physics Paper
The Physics paper comprised of 80 marks divided into two sections.
Section I was a compulsory section carrying 40 marks. It included 3 questions, Question number 1 being MCQ based questions of 15 marks. Question number 2 was for 15 marks and Question number 3 for 10 marks. That made a total of 40 marks for Section-A, which was compulsory and comprised almost all the chapters from the syllabus.
Section B was optional in which students had to attempt any four questions out of six provided to them.
According to me, this year’s Physics paper was set to see the logical and analytical perspective of students. Questions were direct and from within the prescribed ICSE books. A few questions were conceptual. Only with a thorough study of topics could help students write the correct answers.
ICSE Class 10 Physics Paper with Solution 2023 Boards
Physics is one of the three science subjects taught in the ICSE syllabus. In the marking system, the three science subjects are included in one broad category – science. The marks for these subjects are not calculated separately but the average of the three science papers is taken as the marks for Science.
Physics, in this scenario, proves to be the most scoring subject because of the numerical part included in the syllabus. Numericals play a very important role in scoring excellent marks in Physics. The marks in Physics can balance off the comparatively harder subject Chemistry.
