Analysis of Class 10 Board 2020 Physics Paper
The Physics paper comprised of 80 marks divided into two sections.
Section I was a compulsory section carrying 40 marks. It included 4 questions of 10 marks each from all the chapters of the syllabus.
Section II was optional in which students had to attempt any four questions out of six of them.
According to me, this year’s Physics paper was set to see the logical and analytical perspective of students. Questions were direct and from within the prescribed ICSE books. A thorough study of topics could help students score good marks.
Importance of Physics Paper in Board Exams
Physics is one of the three science subjects taught in the ICSE syllabus. In the marking system, the three science subjects are included in one broad category – science. The marks for these subjects are not calculated separately but the average of the three science papers is taken as the marks for Science.
Physics, in this scenario, proves to be the most scoring subject because of the numerical part included in the syllabus. Numericals play a very important role in scoring excellent marks in Physics. The marks in Physics can balance off the comparatively harder subject Chemistry.
That is why it is important to do well in Physics paper. Marks of a single subject is going to affect the overall grade of the category.
