The ICSE board has cancelled all the pending exams of class X and XII,which were to be taken from 1st July to 14th July 2020, following the outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic and nationwide lockdown. However, there is a big update on the CISCE Exams 2020 for both the classes 10 and 12. The CISCE has put the press release on their official website stating all the decisions taken by them in their affidavit.
ICSE Will allow Candidates to take the Optional Exams
2 days ago, the ICSE board has told the Supreme Court that they largely agree with the affidavit submitted by the CBSE. However, unlike CBSE’s decision the CISCE said that “if the situation becomes conducive”, CISCE may give the option to both Class X and XII to “write any or all of the remaining papers.”
This is a good opportunity for those students who are not satisfied with their exams given so far and want to better their performance. However, the decision may alter, if the situation does not become ‘ Conducive’ for a long time.
The CISCE has also mentioned that the marks obtained in the optional examination will be deemed to be final marks. It means that the candidates cannot change their minds later after giving their written examinations.
